Is there a tool somewhere to automatically log emails in Salesforce from Outlook? I have to manually log all of my emails in Salesforce after sending them in Outlook and it's a real PITA [crazy]

Hey all, there actually is a salesforce tool for this - a plugin for outlook (https://login.salesforce.com/help/doc/en/outlookcrm_download_installer.htm)

I actually use hubspot as well and there is an outlook plugin for hubspot as well that allows you to automatically index emails in salesforce which actually works great. I started using hubspot for marketing automation and then they put out a CRM which is actually pretty slick.  And it pulls all of your salesforce data automatically...they are making a run at the big guy based on what I've seen so far!

Hope this helped.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for the reply! I will give the tool a try this afternoon. I found this demo online for anyone else interested:

Thanks for the demo/link. Very helpful for using SFDC and Outlook together.

I also use the Salesforce for Outlook tool. The install isn't as straightforward as you'd maybe think but it's not hard once you find it.You have to actually search for the tool in your settings tab in Salesforce as described here

Hi, just want to add. We use a BCC code to automatically log emails into Salesforce. Like, when we reply to leads or prospects, we just add the code to the BCC field and the email automatically shows up in Salesforce. Not sure how we got the code though. It's something that they've been using even before I joined the team.

A friend recommended the Outlook to Salesforce if you are using Microsoft Office and Salesforce and another friend suggested Hubspot too. I had a similar thread to this and those are the tools that they mentioned. Hope this helps!
